My list of favourite restaurants at Blore keeps changing from time to time...as the consistency and service keeps changing probably keeping pace with the changing lifestyle of us Bloreans..Jokes aside I am jotting down few places where I have enjoyed eating so far and still do...

- China Pearl: CP is located in Koramangla 6th Block. One of the places we as a family have frequented over the years. The restaurant was 1 room eating joint when I was in college but now it looks very fancy. You will find long queues waiting outside for a place even on weekdays. The place dont serve authentic Chinese food but if you are a fan of Indian-Chinese, surely this place does a good job. My favourites are chicken dim-sum, Shanghai honey chilli chicken, Autumn rice, Hoisin lamb, Chicken Teriyaki, Thai fried chicken and Schezwan fried rice. I am not much of a fan of their noodles and chopsueys.

- Meghna Foods: Meghna food is located in the ever bustling Jyothi Nivas College Road. It's a Biryani place which also offers limited choices of side dishes. The place is small considering the crowd. I mostly opt for a parcel. My favourites are the Biryani clubbed with Mongolian chicken and Meghna chicken masala. Caution: The place is heavy on spices so you can specify while ordering whether you need less spice or the original versions. Off late, I have heard that the place is going down on quality, will have to check to be sure.
- 6 Ballygunge Place: 6 Bullygunge Place is a Bengali restaurant located in Indiranagar. What makes this place different is the consistency that they have maintained over the years. I love to eat narkol-posto bora, kosha mangsho and the different fish preparations they offer.
- Juke Box: JB was a favourite hangout. Now considering the distance from my house and parking problems, I am not afrequent visitor in JB anymore. Nevertheless I have very good memories of JB. The place located in Koramangla again near to JNC offers steaks and sizzlers. You can club your favourite steak with a beer though which makes it a more popular hangout. JB also offers Indian and Chinese dishes but plz dont visit JB for those.
- Friends: Friends is a chain of restaurants located all over Bangalore. personally I have only visited the Koramangla and BTM Lyt branches. It's a typical diner sort of place. I have always maintained that friends offer almost the same dishes tastewise as in Casa Picola but more economical. Friends as the name suggests is great to hangout with friends with few munchies and drinks on your table. The waiter wont bother you for your next order.
- Aromas of China: AC has been a favourite on my list for quite some time now. It's tricky eating there as few dishes are Indian-Chinese tilting heavily on the Indian side and yet others quite the opposite. Nevertheless their chinese greens, and non-veg main courses are quite good. Though I dont particularly approve of their dimsums. AC is located on Richmond road.
- Kerala Mess: I simply call this place kerala mess. Probably it's called Kairali but almost every alternate mallu eating joint in Blore is called Kairali. This mess is located on the road behind Christ College or you can also take the road opposite to the backside of Forum mall. I visit this place mostly for breakfasts. Appam and Veg stew's are my favourites. The chana masala is awesome. I dont eat beef but my friends say that beef preparation is quite good. You can also experience authentic Kerala experience for lunch and dinner with avials, thorans and the various fish preparation adoring your plate.
- Harima: Harima on Residency Road is a great place to gorge on Japanese food. The place is as authentic as it gets with Japanese speaking and Kimono wearing hosts welcoming you. And no kidding, I have been there with my Japanese friends and they have vouched for the place. The place also offers traditional Japanese atmosphere while dining. Though one caution, talk to the hostess before ordering. few sushis may not go down very well keeping in mind our Indian palettes.
- Nagarjuna: Nagarjuna on residency Road offers very good Andhra food. I love to eat the thali and Andhra chilli chicken there. The podis and chutneys are just excellent. Personally I am a big fan of Andhra food and this is one place in Bangalore where I look forward to go everytime I crave Andhra food.
- Samarkand: Samarkand in Shivaji Nagar is an excellent option if you want to eat rich and gratifying Afghani-North-east frontier food. Everything is gorgeous be the stuffed mushrooms, or the koftas or the biryanis or the naans. Excellent ambience and very good food. Unfortunately the prices have gone really high now. Big hole in the pocket!!!
